1. Who we are
Changshu Jinhua Machinery Co., Ltd., trading as Jinhua Machinery, operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We manufacture made-to-drawing shafts, gears, forgings, castings, fasteners, and other industrial components for business customers.
For questions about this policy or our handling of personal information, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: information you submit, information generated when you use the website, and information received through normal business communications.
- RFQ and contact information. When you use the native Shopify contact form, you may provide your name, business email address, telephone number, company, country, how you heard about us, project context, and a message describing your manufacturing requirements.
- Engineering drawings and attachments. If you choose the separate email workflow, your email may include PDF, CAD, STEP, ZIP, image, or other engineering files, together with technical, commercial, or contact information that you voluntarily provide.
- Website and device information. Shopify and our analytics services may process IP address, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, referring page, visited pages, timestamps, cookie identifiers, consent choices, and similar technical data.
- Attribution information. When available, we retain non-sensitive campaign fields such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, term, landing page, source page, and component context so we can understand how an inquiry reached us.
Please do not send confidential information or personal data that is unnecessary for quotation. If a project requires a nondisclosure agreement or a controlled file-transfer method, contact us before sending restricted materials.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website; respond to inquiries; review drawings, materials, tolerances, heat treatment, quantities, inspection, and delivery requirements; prepare quotations; communicate about potential or active manufacturing projects; maintain business records; measure website performance; improve our content and services; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on your request before entering a business relationship, performance of a contract, compliance with law, consent, or our legitimate interests in operating a secure B2B website and responding to genuine manufacturing inquiries. The applicable basis depends on the circumstances and your location.
4. RFQ submissions and engineering files
The website RFQ form uses Shopify's contact service. A lead is treated as successfully submitted only after Shopify confirms the server-side form submission. The separate “Email RFQ and Drawings” route opens an email workflow intended for engineering attachments. Entering that workflow does not by itself mean an email was delivered or that an inquiry was accepted.
Drawings and project information are evaluated only for the business purpose for which they were sent, including quotation, feasibility review, process planning, quality planning, and related communication. We may share relevant information internally with personnel involved in sales, process engineering, quality engineering, purchasing, or management, and with approved service providers when necessary for the requested work.
5. Analytics and attribution
We use Google Analytics through Shopify's Google & YouTube integration to understand visits and website interactions. For example, analytics may record page views, engagement, device category, country, campaign attribution, a confirmed website RFQ event, or entry into the engineering-attachment email workflow.
Analytics data boundary: We do not intentionally send your name, email address, phone number, company contact name, RFQ message, attachment filename, or drawing contents to Google Analytics. The RFQ form itself still sends the information you enter to Shopify so the inquiry can reach Jinhua Machinery.
Google explains its privacy practices at Google Privacy & Terms. A browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics is available at Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Cookies and consent choices
Shopify and connected services use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, website operation, consent management, analytics, and attribution. Depending on your location, optional technologies may be limited until the relevant consent choice is recorded.
You can use available website privacy controls and your browser settings to manage cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions or the accuracy of attribution. General cookie guidance is available from All About Cookies. Shopify's privacy information is available at Shopify Privacy.
7. How information is disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers that support website hosting, contact-form delivery, analytics, email, information technology, security, professional advice, and business operations. These providers process information for defined services and are subject to their own contractual and legal responsibilities.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a competent authority; to protect the rights, safety, systems, or property of Jinhua Machinery or others; or in connection with a corporate reorganization, provided appropriate safeguards apply. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Some privacy laws may define particular analytics disclosures as “sharing”; where required, applicable consent or opt-out choices will be provided.
8. International processing
Jinhua Machinery is located in China, and Shopify, Google, email providers, or other service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy and data-protection laws can differ between jurisdictions. Where required, we and our providers use recognized transfer mechanisms or other safeguards appropriate to the service and the information involved.
9. Retention
We retain personal and project information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including quotation follow-up, technical review, an active or potential business relationship, quality and traceability records, dispute resolution, security, and legal or accounting obligations. Retention periods vary according to the nature of the inquiry, whether a project proceeds, contractual requirements, and applicable law.
If information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely archive it, subject to legitimate business and legal requirements.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email us with enough information to identify the relevant communication or inquiry. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Some rights are subject to exceptions, including requirements to retain information for contracts, legal obligations, security, or the establishment and defense of legal claims.
11. Security and children
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use an agreed secure method before transmitting controlled or highly sensitive engineering information.
This website is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the RFQ process. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, service providers, data practices, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through another appropriate channel.
